Welcome to "our" home page. Whose page is it really has yet to be decided, since our family seems to be rather "extended". Sure it's retarded, but what personal page have you been to that isn't?
We are going to try to cover all bases here. We have our immediate family, but we could never leave out our extended "Lake" Family (You know who you are!). On this site you will find references and photos of both groups. Guess it's up to you to figure out who is who! This is entirely a family friendly site, so feel free to look around with no worries. We are always looking for content ideas, or a name for that matter, for the site. If you can imagine it, I'm sure we can deliver it. We have some ideas about services to offer, but all of them are still in their infancy state. At this point it's just for the sake of keeping in touch with family. While you are here be sure to sign the guestbook. We would like to know who has stumbled across us. You will find our contact info all over the site, so there should be no excuses about having a hard time getting in touch with us! Be sure to check back once in a while, as content is always changing. The home page will be strictly for the urgent information that needs to be relayed, while Latest News blog provides the normal reading fodder and updates. Just when you think it is safe to come back, we up and change it again! That's right, there is a new look and feel to the site, once again. This time, in fact, the whole structure of the site has changed, in hopes that we will increase both the speed of the site, and general interation. As part of the change, be looking for our "new" family blog, which will provide us a better avenue to provide updates, as well as allow you, the user, to interact with us. The site is only a tool, so we are looking forward to more participation from our family and friends. |

So with a change to the site comes a change to the features of the site. Here are a few things to keep your eye out for...
- The latest news link will take you to the latest and greatest news from our household. The main page of the site will only contain updates to the functionality of the site itself, as more of a notice; no content will be present on the main page.
- KCPokes Newsletter - you can now sign up to receive the KCPokes Newsletter, which will be emailed to you, at the email you supplied on registration. So if you are intersted, please take the time to sign up, on the home page. Additionally, please be sure your email address is up to date, to ensure that you receive the newsletter and to reduce the number of bounceback emails I receive when we publish. The exact dates of the newsletter has yet to be decided, but once I get a few people to sign up I hope to run a first newsletter for a test and feedback.
- New tagboard - The tagboard is to allow communnication amongst all users. A community bulletin board, if you will. There was a request to start the planning on the reunion for next year, thus something like a tagboard seemed like a very easy fit to provide that functionality.
Please let me know what features you like, as well as features that you'd like to see available on the site.
